The Juneteenth Flag
On July 24, 2020, Governor Charlie Baker signed a bill which designates Juneteenth (June 19th) as an annual state holiday in Massachusetts.
Juneteenth celebrates the end of slavery in the United States. Other names for the holiday include Emancipation Day, Freedom Day and Juneteenth Independence Day.
